Pain. Discomfort. Dirty. Difficulty. Torment.
What do these words all have in common? Things people avoid enduring.
Fulfillment. Success. Wealth. Abundance. Happiness. True Love. Impact. Influence.
What do each of these have in common? Things people never experience because of the things they avoid that cause temporary agony or put them in positions to directly confront their fears.
You cannot avoid this. There are no short cuts. No quick routes. No way around it. You must enter the place you fear in order to receive the result you crave.
Live somewhere temporarily you don’t want to live, spend nights sleeping in your car, sacrifice some things you enjoy doing, get beat up a little, lose sleep, take chances, spend money, spend time, invest in your mind and body, humble yourself, make mistakes, endure public criticism and questions, and above all take a chance on your own ability. Believe in yourself more than anyone else does. Others will jump on your bandwagon soon enough.
You may think that’s a lot to go up against for just a mere chance to achieve the secret desires and passions you have. You’re right. It is.
However, most people don’t know that with the proper belief in not just yourself, it is not a chance. There was a promise made for each and every one of us long before our time here on this planet.
“…That the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God.” Deuteronomy 28:1-2
The most powerful thing I have ever read lies in Deuteronomy 28:1-14. It is 14 verses of promises in regards to our abundance in this life if we believe and live by his word. The journey I have been on the past 6 months, the people I have had the opportunity to connect with, and the things I have seen happen in my life over this frame of time corroborates this to a T.
Abundant lives have been promised to us all, regardless of our humble beginnings. But it’s not a promise that comes without a price. It does not come by simply believing, there is tremendous work that must be put in as well. But with this belief, work, and ability to take a beating both mentally and physically – the ability to be battered, beaten, and broken – will come blessings and abundance that we can hardly fathom. That’s a promise.
You have what it takes, don’t discredit yourself. Don’t doubt yourself.
Make it a personal challenge, how much of a beating can you take? I am willing to bet for the right reward… you would shock yourself with that answer.
