Have you ever felt like you were not in control of how your day went? Of how your life was going? As if you were a creature of circumstance and that no matter what you did, you could never get ahead? Welcome to the club. This is how a staggering mass of individuals live their life. It’s sad that so many of us have forgotten that this is OUR life to live.
When did we begin allowing our lives to live us?
Let’s take a step back for a moment and evaluate if this is the case in our life shall we? Ask yourself the following questions:
1.) How often do I accomplish the tasks I set for myself by the end of each day?
2.) How often do I set daily goals?
3.) Do I feel like there’s never enough time in a day?
4.) Am I sacrificing my overall health and wellness and/or important relationships in order to meet my goals?
5.) Do I find myself in unfortunate circumstances on a semi-regular basis?
6.) Does time tend to slip away from me?
7.) Do I frequently find myself on social media scrolling for no apparent reason?
8.) Am I falling short of my physical, spiritual, financial, and emotional needs?
9.) Do other things consistently get in the way of me working on my passions?
10.) Do I spend time viewing other people’s lives through social media wishing I had that lifestyle?
If your answers for questions 1 and 2 were something along the lines of “Not Often” or if you answered “Yes” to three or more of questions 3-10, then you are virtually guaranteed to be losing the battle for your life.
Now, you’ll be thankful to know (just like everything else) that there is no secret to taking control of your days. It’s simple. Every night before you get in bed, write out 2-3 things you WILL get done the next day… and then do them. If you can successfully do this for 1 month, it will have become a very powerful habit that will help you take your life to the next level.
You can keep doing what you are doing now, thus, continuing to get the same old results that you have now. And you know what’s sad? Most of you will do exactly that. I believe we all have the capability to rule our own mind and establish any set of habits – good or bad – that we choose. The problem is, we tend to choose bad habits because we are surrounded by people with bad habits. And besides, it’s easier just to do what everyone else is doing. So if that sounds like the path you want to take; the path of comfort, flowers, and being a bitch… then be my guest and stop reading this.
But if you want to change your life by way of doing something very simple, this is a great place to start. You see, in order to change your life… you must first, change your life. Damn, did you catch that? I hope you did, that was a good one lol. But seriously, if you want to change what you get, you must first change what you do.
You see, if we cannot develop the ability to accomplish and meet simple tasks on a daily basis, how on God’s green earth can we expect to ever harness the power of our passions and create a lifestyle around them? Exactly.
The Unfortunate Truth
The most common excuse for people not pursuing things they love:
“I don’t have the time.” or “I don’t know where to start.”
Number one, you do have the time. We all have the time. We all have the EXACT same amount of time every day. The only difference between the people who have accomplished what they truly desire and the people who haven’t is that the ones who have executed on their goals took control and full responsibility of each and every day of their lives. They did not allow ANYTHING to become a distraction. And anything that got in the way, they took care of with great haste and moved back into action. The ones who haven’t accomplished much of anything will continuously stew in their own lack of discipline and will time after time manufacture the same bullshit excuses for why they aren’t where they want to be. And you know what can stop all of that? Stop being a slave to the tyrant that your day has become. Stop allowing the phone calls, text messages, Facebook likes, Instagram comments, Snapchat stories, partying, sleeping, girls/boys, or anything else for that matter pop-up and dominate your attention.
Do you know what the definition of Tyrant is? “A cruel and oppressive ruler” – Dictionary.com
And isn’t that just the perfect definition for what our days have become? They have punched us in the face so many times that we can barely even see the light any more. We can barely smell freedom any longer. We have forgotten the taste of ambition. The feeling of accomplishment has almost entirely left our current state of consciousness. So many people in our society have become critics of dreamers because so many of us have fallen under the impression that the ones who are successful and happy just got lucky or must be special in some way. Well let me set that straight for you, that’s not the case. We are ALL God’s highest form of creation. We were ALL born to be K1ngs. We ALL have the ability to rule. But we cannot if we do not first overthrow the one running the show. You deserve greatness. You deserve happiness. You deserve to live a life of fulfillment through your passions and to experience the beauty that life has to offer. That, however, will require an allegiance. A commitment to yourself that you will no longer allow the oppressive circumstances that you encounter on a daily basis to rule your mind and dictate your actions.
And I will be the first to tell you, that when I purged all social media from my life for 3 months, my life was transformed in the most unbelievable of ways. If you have the testicular fortitude to remove social media from your life for even a small period of time, you will literally be in shock and awe of how much clearer your mind is. #K1ngMePurge
So I ask you, take a serious look back at those questions. And come to a rock solid decision on whether you’re going to get serious about putting yourself on the path to making your dreams become your reality. If you don’t? Look at the history of Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, Joseph Stalin, Saddam Hussein or any other Tyrants of our time that come to mind. They committed terrible acts of eugenics (population control by means of mass genocide) and so many more unspeakable atrocities.
Don’t be a fool to think that life doesn’t have in a separate context the same plan for you if you don’t take control of it. You don’t believe me? Spend time with any senior citizen and ask them about their regrets. I promise you one thing, they will speak ONLY of what they did NOT do. The pain of regret is debilitating. It’s absolutely heartbreaking seeing old people who never took the chances on their desires and passions. Seeing the pain in someone’s eyes of a slaughtered dream is gut-wrenching. And if you allow life to continue to pass you by, your dreams will be no more true by the time you’re old and bitter than they are now. Understanding this, I am committed to making sure that will not be me or anyone that I know. I refuse to allow my life to be controlled by outside forces. WE are creatures of creation. Not victims of circumstance. And certainly not slaves to tyrannical rule. What say you? Will you stand up and claim your stake in K1ngship? Or stay on your knees as a peasant to an unjust ruler? You decide. K1ng Me.
